Navigating Narcissism

  • Temescal Works 490 43rd Street Oakland, CA, 94609 (map)

Join us for an insightful conversation with experts who’ll help us identify and navigate narcissism and its impact on our lives. We’ll explain the difference between someone with a diagnosis as a narcissist and someone with narcissistic traits. More importantly than any label, we’ll help you identify elusive traits and toxic patterns you’ll want to avoid.

Most of us know what narcissism means on some level. We have heard it on social media, self-help podcasts, and in movies. We think of a grandiose person who yells at service staff–yet within a few minutes can be charming and full of charisma. While this is true, there are many subtle indicators and “red flags” that don’t make it on our radar.

Navigating a relationship with a narcissist? Whether it’s a family member, colleague, or partner, we’ll also discuss techniques for minimizing negative and damaging interactions.

Our expert panelists include:

Kalé Woods, LMFT, marriage and relationship therapist who specializes in helping clients work through past traumas, understand their family history, and find solution-oriented ways to break barriers to progress.

Kristine Krishnan, Certified Divorce Coach and Certified Transition and Recovery coach. Kristine specializes in helping women going through major life challenges such as divorce, career change, and dating. She provides a safe space for gaining clarity and reducing overwhelm, enabling clients to create actionable goals and build the life they desire on the other side of the transition.

Our discussion will be moderated by Margot Merrill of Wordland. Margot is an experienced writer, content strategist, and certified hynotherapist who’ll lead a guided visualization at the end of the evening to build on what we learn together.
