Unlocking the power of understanding.
Have you ever wondered why certain events or situations trigger intense emotional reactions? Are you curious about the origins of your stress responses? Intergenerational trauma may hold the key.
What is intergenerational trauma?
Intergenerational trauma refers to the transmission of psychological and emotional distress from one generation to another. It can arise from experiences like war, oppression, abuse, or migration, or cycles of various types of abuse, impacting individuals and families across time.
How does it affect us?
Unresolved trauma can manifest in various ways, influencing our behaviors, emotions, and overall well-being. It can shape our beliefs, relationships, and even our physical health. Understanding intergenerational trauma is crucial for breaking free from its invisible grip.
